Single Phase Step Down Transformer

High output voltage is converted into low output voltage by a transformer called step-down transformer. It uses less current to convert the high output voltage. Primary and secondary are two windings in the transformer. The working principle of single phase step down transformer is Faradays law of electromagnetic induction. The transmission is done in the transformer when there is a mutual induction in between two windings. In the law, once the magnetic flux that connects a circuit changes, then an electromotive force is induced within the circuit. This force is proportional to the flux linkages rate of change.
